1003: Rotoscoping

In this weeks VFX lesson we looked at rotoscoping a moving image and a still frame using the roto tool.

To remove the background, points are drawn around the shape and connected up to make a mask-


The image is then hue corrected and premultiplied before being merged with the background-


The mesh is easier to edit for moving images when it’s broken down into sections.

I  also did the same technique with a still image-
